Social English

Thanks very much for everything.

Not at all. It’s been a pleasure.

The food’s quite good here.

Yes it is, isn’t it.

I’ve still got a few things left to do.

Is there anything I can do to help?

I really must be going.

Oh, so soon?

Would you like to go for a drink afterwards?

That would be very ice, thanks.

Have a good weekend!

Thank you. Likewise.

How’s your headache?

No better, I’m afraid.

Are you enjoying your stay?

Yes, very much, thanks.

Can I get you a coffee?

No, thanks. I’ve just had one.

What can I get you?

Just a juice, please.

I’ve brought you these.

Oh, you shouldn’t have! Thank you!

Would you mind if I opened the window?

Not at all. Go ahead.

I’m afraid I’ve forgotten the telephone number.

Oh, it doesn’t matter.

I’ll pick you up at 6.30.

Do you think you could make it a bit earlier?

Do you think we’ll get the contract?

It’s difficult to say at this stage.

We must do this again some time.

Yes, we must. I’ll look forward to it.

Thanks for your help.

You’re welcome.

Where shall we meet?

Reception is as good a place as any.

Did you manage to get the tickets?

I’m afraid not. It was fully booked.
